Enid's Special Service on Sunday

15 Sep 2014 1:46 PM | Renate Naghavi (Administrator)

Our musical contribution to Enid's ministerial "swansong", her last sermon at St. Andrew's in Aurora, was very well received, and I believe it was an exceptionally good performance. I'm so proud of the people who came to sing and did such a great job! We really added an exceptionally wonderful musical element to the morning. I had so many positive comments and felt overwhelming gratitude from the congregation for Enid and for us.

In addition to singing at that church service, Michele and the Executive, on behalf of the choir, sent Enid a bud vase with roses to help her celebrate and commemorate her years in ministry.

Here's her response:

I thought you might post this to the choir website (or mention it at practice tonight) that Enid was so pleased and honoured to accept the beautiful red roses from the choir. She declared that red roses were her favourite flowers and the beautiful surprise really made her smile. We have paid her a beautiful compliment and she thanks us for all for the support, loyalty and kindnesses that we have bestowed upon her.

Enid further shared that later, she will put our remembrance in her box of treasured items.

Enid also wrote this email to me today:

Dear Renate,

The choir paid me a great compliment by being present
yesterday at my final service and singing so beautifully.
You made it a celebratory occasion with your music.
You honoured me with your presence and I am so grateful
to have such amazing friends. Thank you and the choir from
the bottom of my heart. I hope to see you from time to time
on a Monday night leading up to the Christmas concert which
I will attend. All the best to all of you,

Enid, you are a treasure! We appreciate all of your contributions to the choir and wish you all the best as you enter into a new chapter of your life.
